Courses and grades

Start with a course code, then check which sections run in your term and how they fit your degree plan. Use the registrar’s grade reports to review results from previous semesters.

Course catalog lookup

10,182 course codes across 265 subjects in the 2026–2027 undergraduate, graduate and professional catalogs.

Find a commonly searched course

Check prerequisites in the official catalog and term-specific sections in Howdy Public Class Search.

Browse by subject

Find a department, then narrow its list by course or published grades.

Grade distribution lookup

34,453 course totals and 87,580 published sections across 12 terms. Search a code to read its records, including courses outside the current catalog.

Instructor names and section numbers appear as printed. Reports suppress some small sections. Section numbers are separate from Howdy CRNs. Sources checked .

Find prerequisites and credits

Look up the full course code in the undergraduate catalog. Read its prerequisites, credit hours and any campus restrictions before adding it to your plan. Use your degree plan and catalog year when checking whether it fulfills a requirement.

Find a section in Howdy

Select the term and campus, then compare the CRN, meeting days, times, location and linked labs. Save a backup section and check your personal registration time in Howdy. The academic calendar lists term dates and deadlines such as add/drop and Q-drop.

Read historical grade distributions

Choose a year, semester and the college that offers the course. Look up the course code and compare the section’s headcount and grade distribution with the all-sections row. The registrar omits sections with fewer than five students and reports results as recorded at the end of grading.

Estimate your undergraduate GPA

Multiply each course’s GPA hours by its grade points per hour, add the points, then divide by total GPA hours. Undergraduate A, B, C and D grades earn 4, 3, 2 and 1 points per hour. F and U count in GPA hours at zero points. Rule 10 covers excluded grades and repeat-course rules.
