Find prerequisites and credits
Look up the full course code in the undergraduate catalog. Read its prerequisites, credit hours and any campus restrictions before adding it to your plan. Use your degree plan and catalog year when checking whether it fulfills a requirement.
Find a section in Howdy
Select the term and campus, then compare the CRN, meeting days, times, location and linked labs. Save a backup section and check your personal registration time in Howdy. The academic calendar lists term dates and deadlines such as add/drop and Q-drop.
Read historical grade distributions
Choose a year, semester and the college that offers the course. Look up the course code and compare the section’s headcount and grade distribution with the all-sections row. The registrar omits sections with fewer than five students and reports results as recorded at the end of grading.
Estimate your undergraduate GPA
Multiply each course’s GPA hours by its grade points per hour, add the points, then divide by total GPA hours. Undergraduate A, B, C and D grades earn 4, 3, 2 and 1 points per hour. F and U count in GPA hours at zero points. Rule 10 covers excluded grades and repeat-course rules.
